Hi, I’m Nic! I am white, Latina, second gen-American, queer, and my pronouns are she/her. I studied psychology at Reed College, and am currently completing my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lewis & Clark College. I am a ceramicist, Aquarius Sun, musician, reality dating show fan, among much else, and I believe that relationships are at the center of the human experience, touching everything in our lives. As the child of an immigrant, raised in a multicultural and blended family, I saw from an early age how what is systemic and what is relational are intertwined, influencing the landscape of our lives.

In therapy, we will bring our imaginations together to explore your relationship to yourself, your loved ones, your spiritual world, and the environments you live in, in order to find greater creativity and complexity. I believe we are all capable of healing, that healing happens within close relationships, and that healing often follows our greatest challenges, breaking us open to greater meaning and connection. I work with individuals, couples, and families to navigate the absurd yet expected yet unexpected transitions, losses, and gains that life has to offer us; old and new trauma, moving boxes, facing a growth edge, ending and beginning relationships, painting your bathroom, conflict, and so much more. Within these changes, there are so many tensions, limitations, and questions to really, really feel; where do you end and others begin? What can you control? Where do you find meaning? How do you know what’s true for you?

As your therapist, I will meet you and any of your experiences, past or present, with acceptance and curiosity, to support you in finding your avenues for meaning, paths to safety, openings to authenticity, and anything else you may wish to find.
