I am a graduate student at Adams State University completing my Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree. I acknowledge the many privileges I have been afforded in my life as a white, cisgendered, queer, though often hetero-presenting, female while navigating the challenges of chronic illness, limited resources, and single parenthood of a non-binary, neurodivergent, queer teenager. I bring a trauma-informed, supportive, non-judgemental presence to the counseling relationship in an effort to help guide others toward healing and connection while navigating the challenges of their daily life.
I graduated in 2006 from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Ecology. I spent some time working in the fields of animal care, customer service, and management before finding my calling as a counselor. I have worked with both adults and adolescents in a variety of settings. If your concerns involve gender, sexuality, parenting as a queer person, parenting a queer child, career issues, deepening relationships with others, or reconnecting with yourself authentically, I am honored to help guide your journey. We will build a collaborative relationship and work together to find the best support for your growth, healing, and connection.
