Graduate Level Counseling Intern

Trauma, Children/Teens, Eating disorders, Identity exploration,
LGBTQIA+, Recreational therapy, Parts Work & mindfulness

Welcome – I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Jess (she/her), and I am a white, able-bodied, cisgender woman whose therapeutic approach has been shaped by experiences on both sides of the therapy room. While my education

and formal training provided a strong foundation, it is my deep-rooted belief—that everyone deserves someone in their corner—that led me to this work. I’ve witnessed too many individuals, both loved ones and strangers, struggle in silence, held back by stigma and outdated norms that discourage vulnerability. My goal is to help shift this narrative.

I bring extensive experience supporting children and gender-expansive adolescents as they navigate a broad spectrum of emotional and relational challenges. My clinical expertise includes working with individuals managing self-injurious behaviors (including eating disorders and co-occurring concerns), those experiencing familial or relational distress, survivors of complex trauma, and individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community. I also support clients experiencing

depression, anxiety, grief, and other complex life circumstances.

My therapeutic style is personable, affirming, and holistic—centered on nurturing healing and wholeness in both mind and body. I strive to foster an empowering environment that integrates humor, honesty, and critical consciousness—qualities that are core to who I am both personally and professionally. Drawing on my background in juvenile justice, I work with clients to cultivate self-compassion by exploring how the systems we live within impact our pain and our

paths to healing.

Your story matters, and it deserves to be heard—in a safe, supportive, and affirming space, on your own terms. By honoring individual worth and practicing multicultural humility, I aim to co-create a therapeutic environment where diverse identities and voices are not only welcomed, but celebrated.
