Hi and welcome! I’m Luca, I use he/him pronouns, I’m a queer, able-bodied transmasc, nonbinary, person of color who is continuously exploring the felt sense and social implications of these identities. I was rasied in a culturally hispanic household within a larger American culture. Until I met my first therapist I didn’t know what it felt like to experience emotional attunement and emotional safety. Having years of personal experience exploring and navigating my own internal world, I realized how rewarding it is to create safe spaces for others to do the brave work of exposing, exploring and discovering the full range of who they are. I hold so much compassion for the process of exploring the vulnerable areas of connection and disconnection within ourselves and with others.
I graduated from Sofia University, formerly known as the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, in Palo Alto, CA with a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I actually began my undergraduate career pursuing environmental engineering and it wasn’t until I felt deeply listened to that I was able to pursue my authentic path. I hope to walk alongside you as a guide to discovering your own authentic answers, to be a deep listener and provide relevant resources, skills or education that might help you along the way.Â
Therapy is not a one size fits all and I tailor my approach to each clients needs. I intend to create a collaborative process where we can explore any areas of difficulty in your life within a safe and trusting container. It can be difficult to trust someone and there is no rush, I will move at your pace and will stay open and curious to your process. If you feel called to work with me and are interesting in feeling out if we are a good fit, I look forward to meeting you!Â
